As our Quality Officer, you will be responsible for accurate regulatory compliance, including maintenance of the RTO's accreditation with the AQF specifications, the standards for NVR, the Australian Skills and Quality Authority (ASQA).  

The Quality Officer is responsible for supporting the Executive Team in the strategic and operational component of the compliance of information and materials including submissions for governing regulatory bodies such as ASQA, TESQA, PRISMS and DIBP, and works with other staff within EQUALS International to support good practice and to ensure that policies and processes relating to compliance are implemented effectively.

The role requires you to deliver a range of services related to maintaining compliance and supporting quality practise, thereby maintaining accreidtation our regulatory bodies.  This includes:

  • Ensure the RTO remains compliant in all aspects of its operations through implementation of the EQUALS Quality Management System
  • Ensuring that risk is managed appropriately through proactively identifying quality issues in courses, student files and/or records
  • Manage risk through active involvement of regular internal audits to ensure services are delivered in line with ASQA, ESOS and funding body regulations
  • Assist in the preparation of and participate in external audits
  • Work closely with management and other organisations, to develop and improve the quality of compliance frameworks
  • Maintain currency on ASQA, DIBP, TEQSA and AVETMISS, compliance requirements and report on potential implications and timing of any proposed/intended changes to the management team.
  • Consistently develop and maintain process improvement across all aspects of compliance
  • Assist with other RTO administration and /or other duties where necessary and as required.

The successful candidate will have;

  • tertiary qualifications, preferably in quality / risk management and/or compliance
  • highly developed written and oral communication skills
  • exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills
  • demonstrated experience in collating and analysing data to produce reports
  • certificate IV in TAE (or higher)
  • a strong ability to work independently as well as part of al dedicated team
  • experience within compliance in the VET sector is desirable but not essential.

Qualification / Experience Requirements

Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or higher (or be willing to complete) Qualifications in risk and quality management desirable.
