Other - While no formal qualifications are necessary, a keen interest in mental health and disability is necessary. Access to a mobile phone and computer is essential to being able to carry out the duties of the position. DCSI screenings will be undertaken by the Community Visitor Scheme if applicants do not already have them.

The Community Visitor Scheme is seeking volunteers who are passionate about protecting the rights of people with a mental illness or disability and improving the treatment and care provided to them.

To be a Community Visitor you must be at least 18 years of age and demonstrate good communication skills; a desire to help individuals through advocacy; and a dedication to improving services. You must have access to a mobile phone and a computer to successfully carry out the duties of a Community Visitor.
