MOVE runs short and long term projects that inspire, equip and enable Zambia's Western Province, one of Africa’s remotest and impoverished areas.

MOVE provides community capacity building resources to the people of the Western Province, in the areas of water, sanitation and hygiene, child protection management, medical assistance, civil and infrastructure works, education and economic development.

MOVE humanitarian projects require a level of skill and expertise that we, in Australia see as common place. MOVE's vision is to enable ordinary people to do extraordinary acts of kindness by using their everyday skills and expertise to create an environment of sustainability through empowerment, training and education.

Every year since 2010, MOVE organizes fundraising events and a team of volunteers to go to Zambia to build infrastructures and train the locals at the Village of Hope Mongu (http://www.movefoundation.com/movie-gallery/).

For example, in 2016, the MOVE team:

  • brought and installed 80 Laptops into the orphanage
  • installed water services to the hospital and medical centres of the village
  • constructed the soccer pitch & netball courts
  • did some maintenance work on road & track
  • train medical staff

Volunteers can support the MOVE activities in Adelaide (fundraising) or in Zambia (study tours).
