Volunteer by the sea!

Eldercare is about to reopen a residential aged care facility. Oxford was originally built in 1981 and offers a premium residential aged care experience following a refurbishment in 2017. Oxford is a 27 bed facility located 350 metres from the beach.

When you volunteer, you join a team of innovative highly skilled health professionals who deliver an exciting new style of care.

Small Group Facilitators needed!
Would you like to join our team and help organise and facilitate small groups designed to assist our residents?
We are looking for volunteers to assist with these casual group settings where elderly residents can chat and remember experiences and enjoy their hobbies or interests.
The Group Activities Assistant will be responsible for assisting Lifestyle staff in the provision of small group discussion/activity to meet the needs of residents.

The aim of the group activity programs are:

  • To foster friendships and maintain social etiquette skills
  • To pursue lifelong interests with like-minded people
  • To build a sense of community within the residential environment
  • To provide cognitive stimulation and memory recall skills
Get started with 3 easy steps!
  1. Visit the website, go to the volunteer portal, select the location of choice and complete the online application form
  2. Attend an interview and site tour
  3. Provide a Police Clearance certificate for vulnerable groups - if you have one less than 12 months old, great! If not we can help.
Still not sure? Phone Eldercare on 8291 1030 to find out more
